The Arias forged pistons for the 2003-2006 Nissan 350z with the VQ35DE motor have proven themselves in countless build ups. Arias uses high silcone aluminum for their street driven applications. High silicon forgings have better thermal expansion characteristics, which means you can run much tighter piston to wall clearances.
The result is a motor that sounds near stock once its warmed up, and minimal piston slap helps with motor longevity. These pistons are recommended for a max 19psi of boost on the VQ motor. If you are building a race car, and plan on running over 19 psi and nitrous, see our Arias EXTREME duty piston sets. And as always, our sets come complete with rings, wrist pins, and locks. Because each VQ cylinder wall are slightly different diameters from the factory, we strongly recommend you install overbore pistons, and have your machine shop bore out and match each piston to the cylinder, while maintaining exactly .003 piston to wall clearance.
